Travel Writer Samantha(Courteney Cox-Arquette) is on her way to the airport when her friend Jonathon (Chris Potter) tells her that he isn’t happy in their relationship anymore and will move to New York. For the first time in her live the lively woman is at a loss of words. Due to the shock Samantha, who not only suffers from fear of flying but also a lot of other phobias, freaks out on board of the plane and has to undgergo therapy. When her therapist has a mental breakdown himself and a nice, good looking man enters the office, Samantha doesn’t falter and poses as the therapist. Of course she entraps herself more and more in her lying.
