Inhaltsangabe:
Peter und Kira Blakemoore werden als Bodyguards für den Schriftsteller Everett Cooper abgestellt, der in seinem Buch die Riten des chinesischen Geheimordens, den Chi Ru, offenlegt und dewegen Morddrohungen erhielt. Peter bittet seinen Vater um Hilfe, dem die Chi Ru nicht unbekannt sind. Kurz darauf wird Everett's Berater getötet und auch Kira Blakemore wird umgebracht. Beide haben das Erkennungszeichen der Schattenmörder auf der Stirn eingebrannt.
