Mensch, dass ist doch Kermits eindringlicher Blick, wenn er die Brille gerade mal abnimmt um einem Wortlos etwas mitzuteilen. Ihr braucht nur ein wenig mehr Fantasie.

This is Kermit, when he takes off his glasses to comunicate without words. You just need to have a litte bit more fantasy.

lol, yeah, this is really funny.

Personally, I think the nickname Kermit refers to the old computer file system called Kermit. It would fit much better to Kermit's computer skills. But when Herderson's puppets got so popular, he was happy to use the frog Kermit as a disguise. Lachen

Yes, this would make sense. Would mean he first got his nickname due to his computer skills and afterwards took green glasses and a green car to match with Kermit the Frog.

Ja, das macht Sinn. Damit hätte er erst seinen Spitznamen bekommen und dannach die grüne Brille und das grüne Auto als Anspielung auf Kermit den Frosch benutzt.

And then, when frog Kermit is in Kermit's office, asking if he is Kermit, Kermit is answering frog Kermit:"Did my glasses give me away?" (This is one of Kermit's trademark sentences from the episode Manhunt.)

Unfortunately, it was never mentioned in the series where this nickname came from and also Michael Sloan never revealed the secret what compelled him to name a figure Kermit. About this topic, some funny diskussions happened on some of the lists.

@Tigerauge: Für mich ist das halt einfach, wie du auch meintest, eine logische Erklärung. Aber es könnte natürlich auch anders gelaufen sein. Die Wahrheit, wie der Name entstand, werden wir wohl nie erfahren.

Eigentlich hat es ja außer einer nebenbei dahergesagten Bemerkung Peters, dass Kermit nur ein Spitzname ist, nie irgendetwas in der Serie zu diesem Thema gegeben. Und ich erinnere mich an den entrüsteten Aufschrei einiger Fu-Fans, als die Frage nach dem richtigen Namen einmal in einer Liste gestellt wurde. Da gab es auch einige dabei, die der Meinung waren, Kermit ist sein richtiger Vorname.

Actually, other than a casual comment from Peter in one of the episodes that Kermit is the frogman's nickname, it was never again mentioned. And I remember that there was a little riot in one of the list when the question was asked if it was a nickname or the real name. Some of the members insisted that it's the real name.

Ich denke auch, dass es nur sein Spitzname ist. Bei seinen ganzen Idetitäten weiß er vermutlich selbst nicht mehr seinen richtigen Namen... Lachen Die Anspielungen sind immer witzig, z.B. als ein FBI Beamter Det. Griffin sprechen wollte:

FBI Mann: "Ich möchte Det. Griffin sprechen"

Sgt.: "Kermit ist in seinem Büro

FBI Mann: "Kermit? Arbeitet Miss Piggy etwa auch hier? Lachen

I think, Kermit ist a nickname. He know assumedly not same his really Name... Lachen The allusions of "Kermit" are always funny:

for example:

FBI Man: I must speak Det. Griffin

Sgt: "Kermit is in his office"

I think Kermit is a nickname. WE never do find out what his first name is although it was mentioned in someones fic, but that one is just conjecture and not factual when I saw Michael Sloan there was so much to ask him that of course I did not think to ask him about Kermit. I didn't know about the computer reference though to something called Kermit? I never thought about how the muppets came up with the name Kermit for the frogman. OH btw Kermit was on TV this morning. Good Morning America. He and Ms Piggy and some of the other muppets were singing Christmas carols on tv

lol, Linda, with Kermit and Miss Piggy, Spenser was referring to the stuffed animals. In this case I don't mind it at all.
And I also wouldn't mind if "my" Kermit would have a stuffed Miss Piggy in his bedroom or someplace else. Sehr glücklich
