What vice would you like to give up in 2006?
I’d like to give up smoking. It’s not something I’ve done since I was a kid, it’s something I’ve started with the band, just purely through boredom and stuff. I’d like to stop that because of my voice and also because it’s a dirty habit. I’d also like to drink less as well.
What was your biggest reality check moment of 2005?
Well the problems with the record company brought me back to earth a bit, but then doing my first parachute jump was mind-blowing. The feeling is amazing as you jump out, as you’re freefalling, and then you pull the cord and see if it’s actually opened properly – that’s when you shit yourself.
And then watching TV footage of people landing on spinning helicopter blades, well that’s a bit of a reality check isn’t it?
How comfortable are you with your body?
I’m okay with it but I suppose I’d give it a five out of ten. It’s not bad but I could improve a lot. I think when you look in , you see some of the guys bodies and it’s like Jesus, they’re all a ten, so there’s no way I’m anywhere near that at the moment. But I’d like to work towards maybe getting towards an eight or something. I’ve never wanted an over muscled body anyway – just a flat stomach – so it’s a five at the moment.
Any tips for a healthy mind and body?
Take loads of drugs. That was a joke by the way – I’m completely against drugs.
